Can I post my masters homework on here and get answers?

Do your own homework! Ask questions for clarification or ask opinions about what you find...but do your own work!

I am doing my own hmwk. But this is an essay, and i need as many view pionts and ideas from a variety of people wether it be LOE's or civillians.
If its a good question, would you be kind enough to give me a Rep.

If you were on the up and up, you would have asked for help for a homework assignment from the get go...

and I probably would have helped you...

but then again, I never finished skool so it's probably all for the best... :p

So what you are saying is that i had to advise you why i am asking the question and it pertains to.
What is the difference whether i asked you just for knowledege sake or for an essay. It should really just be about helping another person(NYPD Explorer), it should matter why i am asking this question, iether you can be a helpful LEO or not.
If its a good question, would you be kind enough to give me a Rep.

You didn't (and don't) HAVE to do anything.

To me, it matters that you're STILL IN SCHOOL.

It could also be argued that "it's about" such things as Courtesy, Integrity, and Work Ethic/Discipline.

The difference is that you WEREN'T asking just for "knowledge sake". Show me/us some effort on your part. Post your thoughts on the subject and ask for feedback or a discussion. Show that you've AT LEAST STFW and have seen these or those ideas being discussed...

Here are my thoughts on the topicsuch as the lap-tops that are in the police cars, which allow them to run plates and do background checks instead of having the dispatcher do it.
Also there are programs on the lap-tops that allow the officers to draw up sketches of accident scenes.
Also technology that is allowing LEO to match DNA from a crime such as a rape which could have happened 15yrs ago and match it with DNA found at a crime scene that recently happened.

Is this good enough, can i get some assistance? PLS

[Do U Think Technology Will Effect Le In The 21st Century?, How And Why?]

[Here are my thoughts on the topicsuch as the lap-tops that are in the police cars, which allow them to run plates and do background checks instead of having the dispatcher do it.

Ok, let's start from the beginning. Here is one way (not THE way - just A way) to approach your assignment.

First, present a premise - basically what your answers are to the questions you posted above. Then, give some examples of current technology (such as the ones you posted), the effects of your examples on LE, and then perhaps take a look at where things seem to headed Technology-wise in LE and give your opinions on what LE work may be like in the future.

Advances in Technology often come from Either efforts to make a particular task easier, faster, more efficient, or more cost-effective, OR efforts to provide a solution to a particular problem (real or perceived).

Here are some other things to possibly discuss in your paper (or at least think about): Is it possible for Technology to be intrinsically bad/evil? What are some pros and cons of our use of Technology? What would some of the effects be of a failure or malfunction of Technology? What types of Technological advances have helped LEOs do their jobs? What kinds of Technological advances have hindered or would hinder LEOs in doing their jobs? What factors force LE to change and/or implement new Technologies? How well are new Technologies accepted by LEOs? What Technological advances would you like to see if/when you were/are working in LE?

Besides talking to some of the OG guys and hearing their stories of "back in the day, we didn't have [insert Technology] and we had to do this and that in order to [insert task]...", if you follow the news or pay attention to the threads on LE forums, you can find a lot of information/examples on how Technology affects our policies and procedures. Here's one (of many): How about Tasers? Good or Bad? What's been happening recently? Why did they come about in the first place? What has been "typical" LE reaction to the use of the Tasers? What has been "typical" public reaction to the use of the Tasers? ETCETERA...

I remember seeing that sonic deal on Tactical to Practical not too long ago. It was a big bugger of a machine that was supposed to incapacitate people it was pointed at. I think it used a frequency that vibrated the inner ear that made people unable to keep their balance and what not. I could be wrong since I wasn't really paying attention. Pretty impressive.
