Who has to work Christmas/New Years?

I am all bummed out because I have to work Christmas Day from 0800-1600.... I need some people to wallow in misery with. I would also like to hear afterwards what types of calls everyone had to go on.

What is the BEST Christmas Day you can remember? Or, if there are just too many (yes, I am an optimist), then what is your typical routine for the day? If you don't celebrate Christmas, then what is your favorite celebration and what do you do?

I had to work last year on both days but this year I have both of them off. :D

I have to go into work at 1800 xmas eve. get off at 0600 xmas morning then due back 1800 xmas night and again get off 0600 the next morning.:mad:

I work whenever my pager goes off, :p. But fortunately I dont have to WORK WORK for either of those days. I do have to work tomorrow though :(.

normally we take call on holidays, however due to the recent 8 inches of snow, here i sit at the pd. get off a 2pm. also have to work on new years. never fails. i thought rank had its privalages? lol

I worked Christmas Eve, 1500-0230. It was a very quiet night, a couple of domestics but nothing too serious. I'm off New Years Eve :D , but work New Years Day 1500-0230. Happy Holidays to all!!

I really made out this year, I had Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve off. Down side is today is my B-day and I'm pulling a double shift, guess you can't win 'em all.

I work both Tuesdays, 10pm-6am, so technically I'm working Christmas Day & New Year's Day (even though I practically have the whole day off, since I don't work Wednesday nights or Thursday nights).

Worked Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, will also be working both New Years Eve and Day. On Graves at the moment, so had a mix of really quiet and all h**l breaking loose.

Family holidays always make for some wild calls!
