I'll say from personal experience that when the HA operate in an area where they are not the dominant club, they are often very discreet.

Often, the first clue that you are looking at an HA in an area like that is going to be when you wonder why one of the local club officers came to the airport to pick up some guy in his fifties in a suit.

I'm not going to get into it either, Odin, but some of the things you said indicate to me that you may not be as up on the club alliances as you think. Not to mention that when it comes to outlaw motorcycle clubs, I have seen some strange bedfellows from time to time. Conventional biker wisdom is that the big four clubs never do business together, and all hate each other.

But, OMC's are like a lot of criminal groups. The higher up you go in an organization, the less the rules mean anything to you.

All of my "knowledge" (or lack thereof) on the subject comes from talking to people I've known over the years and from personal experiences and observations. In other words, nothing of real substance you could say, just the observations of an outsider.

As far as the big four doing business together, when you're talking about biker gang types I wouldn't expect there to be a whole lot of "rules" that don't get broken. We're not talking about the most disciplined guys here, I'm sure that their integrity leaves plenty ot be desired and that they would do business with whoever they think would benefit them at the time.

I do know that the Dallas area is particularly free from outlaw biker gang wars, unlike some areas of the country. It's a pretty laid back environment for bikers of all types here, and club politics and turf issues really don't come up much. Most of the biker gatherings have people from all sorts of clubs getting along for the most part, everyone from the cop clubs to the 1%er clubs. 2 years ago I stayed in the same place as one of the major cop clubs (Los Carnales) in Austin at the ROT Rally, and the cops were noisier, rowdier and more drunken than the hardcore biker club types out in the campgrounds. A good time was had by all. Also, in my years of touring as a musician and playing everything from rough roadhouses to biker rallies, I will say that the people who seem to start the most trouble are the drunk ****kickers. And outlaw biker party will usually go off with no fights, but put a couple hundred drunk cowboys in a room together and the blood will flow.

I've noticed bikers wearing their colors yesterday and today. Wonder if this may be why.
