I just received the nod that I am officially hired as a PO. I am so pumped, as it's been one looooong ride, most of it spent waiting! My first day is Dec. 26th, and I'm told I'll be taken to Mass. to be outfitted with over $4000. worth of uniforms and cool toys...errr, I mean equipment. Day 2 will be spent partly at the firing range, then helping out with reports and lots of observing. Is it always this fun??? Yeah, right! :p The academy starts mid-Feb. and I hope it doesn't kill me! ;)
Gawd, I'm just about impossible to be around since I found out the great news! :D

Thanks, all. Dan, my department is in southern Maine, but apparently you folks have much better uniforms in your state! It may be a two hour drive down, but I plan to pick the officer's brain while on the ride. Poor thing, I hope I don't drive him crazy with all my questions. :D
