Need some assistance!!!

I've decided to run for District Justice, which is the first step in the Judicial system, here. A DJ decides all summary traffic/criminal cases & civil cases up to 8K. On misdemeanor and felony cases, I would decide prima facie, or "at first look" meaning that it is a decision as to A) whether the crime charged was appropriate or applicable and B) whether the defendant was "probably" involved. (That's a real down & dirty description)
I am going to be facing a lot of questions when I go to meetings of police unions and political committees to ask for endorsement. So, I thought it might be a good idea to get some practice before hand and I am asking that you might help me out by posting some questions for me and then some feedback on my responses.

I have always, always voted for the female candidate that has shown me naked pictures of herself. :D

Personally I would ask about Le history, personal history and whether or not you are going to sentence traffic offenders to death, I am all for that.

Traffic, I'd vote for you and I haven't even seen you naked...YET!

I would probably want to know your LE Background, where you stand on issues that have NOTHING to do with your position, but just to see your mindset and people will probably dig into your personal life. Husband, kids, mother, father. You know, to make sure you are a Mafia Family or something. Oh yeah, I would also want to know WHY you want to be a judge and what gives you the edge over the other candidates. Why should I vote for you?

Racism.....
Do you think that minorities are more likely to be arrested and tried then a white person for the same crime ?
Do you think minorites are discriminated against, ie longer sentencing for the same crime, then whites ?

Adult or child ?
At what age do you consider a teen to be responsible for commiting a felony ?
Do you think juveniles should be sentenced to adult prisons for "adult " crimes ?

DUI ?
Do you feel current DUI laws are effective in saving lifes ?
Do you feel a person caught driving while under the influence should undergo some type of manditory "drunk" program ?
(ie how drinking kills, etc......)
How do you feel about repeat offenders ? (sentence wise)

How does the Public perceive your local dept conduct in the area of :
Reducing crime ?
The war on drugs ?
Public relations ?
General..keeping thier neighborhood safer ?
Moral values, can they be trusted, taken at thier word ?
Should an officers conduct come into question whenever they come into a situation when force is needed ?

How do You perceive your local dept on the same questions ?

Private vs. Public...
Should crimes that involve domistic violence receive more resources...tougher sentences for those convicted of it ?
Should parents convicted of child abuse loose thier rights as parents ?

General ?
What kind of sentence should a person receive that provides alcohol to a minor ?

What kind of sentence do you feel is appropriate for a child molester ?

Do you think current guidelines, truth in sentencing, fit the offences ? (do the current guidelines offer enough flexibility)

Do you think a person with little resoures is more likely to commit crime, poor vs wealthy ?

my stepfather recently ran for county judge. get a good campaign manager. someone who can schedule events for you. the key is to build hype. if someone is having a church dinner, make sure they know you're coming and that you're running for office. it gives people a chance to get to know you, then they run off and tell their friends what a nice person you are.

and kiss a bunch of babies. voters like that.

I have 13 years of police experience in addition to several years as a criminal defense investigator. I am a certified SFST instructor, co-writer of the SOP for preliminary hearing preparation, an instructor for preparation of probable cause affadivits/criminal complaints.
I was on the State Board for MADD, and part of the legislative committee for the zero-tolerance BAC for minor vehicle operators.
I currently volunteer my time speaking to first-time offenders of DUI through the ARD program.
