Braking down on the second occasion... would have placed that officer in an awfully bad position...

• Sitting in his cruiser

• approaching while the BG is coming out

This BG would have shoot without doubts since he already did it before


I personnaly think that raming the BG car was the only "safe" option available to that officer in this specific situation!.

Any other move would have put the officer in a very bad position!

We had a incident similar to that here. BG had a knife and was holding police at bay. Cops got into car and when BG came outside, they drove over him!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

As for this guy, sucked in, hedeserved it. I think it was a good use of resources considering the circumstances

As for the pursuit/shootout, I've seen that one. I don't know if any of you noticed it, but right where the car rams the bad guy, you see him open the passenger door and you can see the 'puff puff' of smoke as he lets go a few more zingers at the cops.

Also, does anyone know if the cop lying on the ground after the collision (he was the one who's car was disabled and jumped in as a passenger in the back-ups car) was shot or just didn't have his seat belt on?

I actually saw this on one of the national news broadcasts the day after the incident and the footage was a little better. Now that's eliminating a threat! :D

Just responding to deadly force. My entire academy class was posed a question like that "What would you do if you are the backup officer arriving at a scene where fellow officers are pinned down. All of my classmates answered get a good position and engage. I said I'd run him over.

Watch the tape again,...just before the ram,,,the bad guy actually shoots off like 2 shots....I think thats justifyable..All he has to say is "I ducked". ...judged by 12 than carried by 6.
