Just want to thank everyone for thier help. This forum is awsome and very helpful. Anyway, I got hired with the Sheriff's dept. here in San Diego,CA . I graduated the academy 2 years ago and applied right after graduation(I went to the night academy). What a long process! Part of the reason for the wait was that I applied when they were having that budget crisis. My backround investigator asked me to wait a little longer because there are 3 more people that have to take the medical. I guess he wants to have all 4 of us sworn in at the same time. The next step is to qualify with a glock 22. I have to find out if they will issue the glock before the test so i can practice with it, not sure yet. I might have to just go rent one and practice that way.
