I'm Halfway There!

Well folks, today I had the third chemo treatment. I'm halfway there! They do them every 21 days as long as my WBC and RBC counts are good. There are blood tests every week to keep up with those, and shots to take if they're not up to par. There are some side effects but so far they haven't been as bad as I thought they'd be. Nausea and vomiting and my hair is gone, but they have me on good meds and the hair loss really doesn't bother me. Sort of a funny part is the steroids they have me on these 3 days make me kinda hyper. At 6:30 this morning I took a shower, was washed, dried, lotioned and dressed by 6:45. By 7:05 I'd loaded the dishwasher, moved a load of clothes from washer to dryer, started another load of clothes, had a 3rd bunch on the floor waiting to go, and packed my son's lunch. (Normally at this time I'm slowly getting dressed).
Thanks again for all of ya'll's prayers and support! You'll never know how much it means and how it's helped!

Ok, Stump! We'll make arrangements for next time I'm on the steroids! I'm also thinking about joining the local football team.............if I can't play, maybe I can wash their uniforms and clean the locker room!

Sorrel, thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers. It was pointed out to me that if I'm here talking, I am a survivor. And it's true. God gave me a husband I want to grow old with, and a 10 year old son I want to finish raising. Not that nobody else could do it, but I believe I was the one God chose for both and He sees thing through. I will survive!!!!!

Y'know, I keep hearing that He only gives us what we can handle...but I'll bet you are like me and wish He didn't think we were so darn strong!LOL

Many thanks, Traffic! I learned real fast this was a burden I couldn't carry myself......at one point I had even decided the scripture and songs I wanted at my funeral. I found I had to TOTALLY trust God......and I did. And all my online family at realpolice have been incredible! It's great I don't have to carry this myself, the load is light now. You folk have been so great! And as far as a funeral.......not gonna happen!
