    I am buying a house!!

Ok, I decided to grow up and am buying my first house. I just put an offer in about 2 hours ago, and am trying to waste time around here until I hear from my guy Bob.
I am pretty excited about it, but wonder if there is anything anyone can offer to me as far as advice on anything....
Sucky me, decided to try to close on New Years Eve-ish, so I can get the tax benefits, but it will be tough to move then.
Once the deal gets approved, I'll throw some pictures up of some of the rooms. If I do end up with this house, I will definitely take pictures of the Spider-man room (decorate all in Spiderman colors, etc). It looks wicked cool!!!
Anyhoo, that's me and my life. It's always some big stressball thing goin' on for the Stump.

Trying to think of some advice, as we just bought a new house too. My last mistakes, but not on this house...make sure your house isn't on a main road to a subdivision, otherwise everybody and their brother will be flying down your street; hmmm, get a Home Inspection.

Also, if it's your first house, keep in mind you have to pay closing costs or ask for "Seller's Help" if you don't have the money (which on average, at least around here, can be anywhere from $3,000 to $6,000). S.H. just means the people selling the house roll those costs into the price of the house so you don't have to come up with it up front. When I bought my first house, I had no clue about this until literally almost the day we closed.

Make sure your basement don't leak!

    Good luck.

What is the range of house prices where you live? Here in a smaller city in British Columbia, a starter house (2 bedroom, nothing fancy) might go for 105K to 120K.
A family home in a nicer area of town might go for 140K to 190K with the more expensive homes having a nice view, extra features like hot tub, pool, etc.
There are also more luxurious homes for anywhere between 200K and 600K.

    You know it!!!
Dude, why do you think I actually BOUGHT the house??? LOL... To get that really cute guy over here! LOL

The range is too broad to even begin to give you a ballpark. You can find houses here for whatever price you want. My oldest brother and sister-in-law's house cost 3 times more than mine did.

My wife and I are in the process of buying a new house also. WHat a fun, scary time. And I just learned that loan officers are proctologists. ;)

Because I think showing y'all a picture of Spidey room is much cooler than a picture of me.. LOL.. Actually, I haven't gotten around to scanning a recent pic of me. So, keep yelling at me, and I'll get around to it.

The people I am trying to buy the house from are going through a bitter divorce, and the guy is trying to make life as difficult as he can. :(

I actually just got word that the guy didn't show up AGAIN for their appt to discuss my offer, so it doesn't look like I am getting that house. *SIGH* Back to the drawing board, I guess..... :(

Unhappy I need some lovin' and sympathy

Now I gotta go back to the beginning and start looking at more houses because this guy is being a jerk. Why people have to get so bitter and hateful during divorce is beyond me. *Sigh*
I am just so depressed because I found a house I really loved, and now I just don't know if I can find another one that I like as much. I don't want to just "settle" for another one, but I don't know what to do.
Why do bad things happen to good Stumps?:(

Don't settle for something your not going to like!! My wife and I looked for nearly a year before we came up with a house we both liked, and I'm so thankful we didn't give in and just get one. it's a long process but well worth it in the end if your happy!!

Stump, hang in there.......I know it's frustrating, but you will find the house that's meant for you.

    Hey stump,

i am the last to know :( ..... anyhow Good luck on finding the house you love the most.... Remember don't settle for something you don't like unless you can afford for it and well rent it out then it will be a different story....

I think having a pic of your room which is more or less in spidery color would be cool! Well why not put you in that picture too so we know who designed it.....

Take your time choose a good one and no hurry on that .....

    By the way Bbuie,

Sis your treatment is coming soon again Well all the best wishes to you & you are in my prayers forever ........ Psst.... when you want me to send that pot of flowers to you? let me know ok! See ya

    regards,
    ronald soo
