    Peterson 'potential devlopment'

    What kind of 'potential developments' can stop a trial?

    Judge Alfred A. Delucchi stopped the trial Wednesday just as Amber Frey, Peterson's former mistress, was set to be questioned by defense attorney Mark Geragos.

    "There's been a potential development in this case that has to be checked out before we can go any further," Delucchi told jurors.

    Delucchi didn't say what the development was and lawyers are barred by a gag order from discussing it.

    hehe. yeah he could have confessed. That would stop the trial I think? maybe pleabargaining? maybe the jury needs to get sequestered again? maybe someone shot the judge? I dunno I could go on :D.

    Ya know, lots of men cheat and lie (none of which are on this board of course ;) ). A small percentage of them kill their wives. And an even smaller percentage of them kill their unborn child as well. I have yet to hear of any evidence that is 'beyond a resonable doubt". Do I think he is garbage? yes. Do I think he killed her? maybe. Could I convict him on what I know? no

    When I first heard of this case it was on cable (Fox) here. I thought that the California taxpayers were going to be saved the cost of a trial because, well, Fox had him found guilty, sentenced and on a prisoner management plan. Then I found out I was wrong, that in fact he hadn't even been charged. Now I don't have cable any longer I am really behind on this case. I suppose I'll just have to wait for the jury to decide now ;)
