Lucky it wasnt around here. This area of Indiana ( northeast ) is WELL known and was even on the Discovery Channel for its train activity including derailments. I have a video from a car that 10-50'd on the tracks and as i was preparing to start the accident report I heard that very DISTINCT noise. Please note as well that I had dispatch call Amtrack and NS and Conrail and asked them to stop all train traffic.

LOL didnt matter. BAM nailed by an Amtrack !!!!! All on video. you should see the kid who was driving the car he is just off to the left and when the engine makes contact with the car he falls down and starts balling... Kinda felt sorry for the kid. He was was just going to fast around the curve and got hung up.

We usually have 1 or so train vs car wrecks and or fatalities each year. Just side note. Luck was on that officers side that day ....

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I about had a heart attack watching that video with the dumb *** kid. He BARELY, and I mean BARELY, got out of the way of that train. I almost wonder if it actually did clip his foot. That train was probably doing over 60 mph.
