....., the mental patient who self harms, sleeps with strangers, drinks booze like it's going out of fashion and takes drugs to such an extent the dealers meet her in the hospital and pass it through the slit windows.

Goes missing and attends hospital(s) so many times to seek the attention of the staff (her main Illness), that they (all hospitals within 6 mile radius) now her by all four names and dob's she uses.

You find her take her back, say goodbye give her the packet of chewing gum you used like the 'piped piper of hamlin' to get her into the car.............................., only to get a radio message 10 minutes later she has escaped again. The reason? Well, "it was so humid we had the back door open" :mad:

Mindset of staff members - social workers & health care workers VS LEO. An example of mindset: a social work agency executive responding to the "how do you thiink it happened" question, in reporting a large theft of office equipment. The answer: "someone must have had a greater need".

It's a whole other culture.

We have a woman who constantly slashes herself with a razor and we constantly "302" her ( involuntary mental committment) and in a few days or a week , she is back home. On occasion she has been gone for a month or two. WHen this happens, she gets her welafare checks together and goes and buys a large amount of shrimp and beer and does it all over again.

Last time I was at her trailer, there was so much blood on the floor that we were tracking bloody footprints throughout the place and outside.
