    Hurricane Charley

Living and working on the Coast of North Carolina I'm painfully aware of the devastation that hurricanes can and do bring. To my fellow LEO's in Florida as well as the citizens residing/working in the state - God speed. Hope the citizens heed the warnings and evacuate so that LEO/Emergency Personnel don't have to risk their lives attempting to save those that decide not to evacuate.

What I want to know is why are people here in VA freaking out about this thing. We MIGHT get some rain.

But as K9 said, FL LEO's be careful out there.

Where on NC coast? I'm in the W-S/GSO area, but we frequently visit Wilmington, NC & my father is from Beaufort, NC.

It's the damn Virginia weathermen that instigate the paranoia. Any storm that is pointed this way is treated like impending doom. And after Isabel, it seems that they want you believe that "it's gonna happen again real soon!" It's all for ratings. We'll be to the right of the eye (the bad place) but nothing compaired to the rocking that Florida will get.

Down there near Lejeune, are ya? Were you a marine? Also, how do I train my Yorkie to be a K-9 cop? She barks at the German Shepards on COPS TV show & I promised her I'd let her apply to K-9 training school. LOL Can you see that? A 9 pound Yorkie leading the trail to a cadaver??? :D
