I think Friday the 13th is a lucky day. Why not? I mean, Friday the 13th is the name of a crappy movie...it wasn't even scary. So why worry?

Gosh, guys...you guys freaked me out... LOL! As for the myth of the Friday 13th, it's not so true...eeerrr...wait a minute...<gulp> Talkin' about full moon? If some change into weeeerewolves..."aarrrrroooooooooo" that's it. I ssee, ...hehehe...or vampires?? :eek: Teheeehhee..uh..ohhhh...I'm freaked out already. Jason?? Who Jason?? Ohhhh, that's Jason, well, he's my spooky cousin so he loves wearing mask and chases after the poor souls. Well, Jason is still alive because he's immortal. HAHAHAHAHA. They tried to kill him completely, but he'll always spring back to living state. That's it. Yeah... :D
And he's famous dead actor because he's in all of the Friday, the 13th movies

I have a few:
1) Our radios are assigned out of a pool of 128 every day for your shift. I always take a radio with a serial number ending in a "4." If my partner is out, I take a "0." May partner always takes one ending in 13.
2) I always take my baton and slap the front stairs when I leave for the day and when I return.
3) I never say "never" or "quiet."

I always check my weapon to make sure its loaded prior to leaving the house even though its in a secured area with only my wife knows or has access to it .

I always brush my teeth RIGHT before i leave. ( dont know why either )

I ALWAYS put my left work boot on first and I always carry a metal rams head on my work keys, it was a gift from my dad..... Ive carried it for 10 years now!

wow, i never really thought about them as superstitions! lol, they were always just routine. i dress the same way in the same order every time i work. i lay my gear out in the same spot in the same way everyday. somone mentioned dry firing 3 times, i do the same around 4 or 5. rack pull, rack pull, rack pull, rack pull, i dont know why. when i cant find a car around to stop, i'll pull over and light a smoke. its a guaranted way to catch a speeder. when i'm on call, if i havent gotten a call all day, i cant stand it when somone call and says "hey have you gotten any calls today?" never fails i get one right after that.

as far as the dreams, the one i have a lot is that i pull the trigger firing at a baddie, and it takes 57 pounds of pressure just to get it to pull!!! then i can see the bullet just roll out of the barrel and drop. i've also had dreams where my bullets zing to the left or right of the perp and never even hit em!! how bizarre lol

Mine are too, but not out of any superstition. Heaven help the poor recruit at my academy that tried to lace his boots right over left!

Bodies always come in threes. So when I get my first for the weekend I know I've two more following it up.

Worked the weekend and was on call for the troop. Just like clockwork, the phone rang at 0430 for the first body. I got the last two back to back starting at 1030. I hate my phone.

First, whenever I get out something that could have upset my life, or feel the need, I touch my forehead. I'm touching my horn.

Secondly, if I feel the need for luck or am going out on a difficult task, I pet my cat 9 times +one to grow on, for three sets, +one to grow on. Pets from the good luck kitten (she's a black cat).
