What is it? I dont have the plug-in.
Man thats rough watching, I saw the interview with the Sheriff and it was heartbreaking to see him crying on TV.
It never ceases to amaze me that no matter where you are at or what agency you are with, when you are in trouble your fellow officers will move heaven and earth to get to you. I am even prouder to do what I do when I saw those guys go rolling up towards that house knowing their was someone inside with an assault rifle who had shot one officer fatally and shot at several more.
You know the difference between a job and a duty? A job you can refuse to do because it's dangerous; a duty you must do even if it is dangerous.

That is a powerful video clip PO1IC. And poignant. Thanks for posting this.

The Deputy responded to a domestic disturbance between a mother and son and the son shot the deputy with an assault rifle as he got out of the car. He then holed up in the house firing randomly at approaching officers. He even fired at the robot that was sent inside. He wound up killing himself. If I remember correctly he was the son of a local prosecuting attorney.Originally Posted by ngcsubutterbar

Sadly, no. You might be able to look up the whole story in the Officer.com archives for March (?). It was fairly extensive.

Thanks Star for my Star Avy!
So sad...:(
EDIT: Removing of an inappropriate comment. Apologies to anyone who felt my comment was a bit callous. Thanks to dwf for pointing it out, and taking the time to explain why this isn't the place. Godspeed to the officer, his family, his coworkers, and his friends.

Strange thing about being a cop. Don't know these folks and it still leaves me numb.
I am not a cop, I can not even see the video just hear the audio and it makes me sad and sick.
Does anyone have any idea on a way to be able to see the video. Every time that I go to watch it, it freezes up my internet.
Thanks Star for my Star Avy!
