So i'm on patrol tonight. There is a bike patrol team on one of our islands calling for a car for transport. I'm close so I go and assist. I arrive and there is the suspect, laying on the ground, and one of the officers appears to be wrestling with the subject. I hop out and check it out.
Turns out the subject was loitering and homeless. They told him to leave several times and he just wouldn't go away, so they decided to take him into custody. He appears to be cooperative so we start to put him in the car, needless to say he didn't want to go once he got to the door. We struggled while he kicked and writhed about. I expand my baton but it wasn't necessary, because he then got in and we shut the door. We couldn't cuff him because he was so thin, he would have just slipped them right off.
He started to whine so I rolled the back window down a bit but he really stank so I closed the window on the partition. I decided it wouldn't be a good idea to hang around so i start to drive to the office. On the way he is really starting to whine, so much so that he is starting to irritate me and moving all over, getting really anxious. I step it up a bit but this only worsened things, he started to piss in my backseat.
Now, i'm really pissed off and I don't care, so I just haul *** to the office. When I arrive and park the car near the sallyport he is really anxious to get out. Practically clawing at the door! I get help to transfer him, the other officers couldn't beleive I didn't beat him for pissing in my back seat.
We transfer him to his cell, it took two of us to struggle with him to get him out of the car and into the office.
We tried to put him into his cell but it was just too small for him. The DOG was way too big for the kennel!
LOL.....yes, it was a stupid damn dog!!! We couldn't figure out what to do with him. He became very friendly and seemed to warm up to us when we had him inside. I spent the next hour and a half of my shift calling animal control, which won't come out to get him, calling friends with a kennel that would fit, I tried everything short of shooting it. We ended up tying him up outside where we park our cars.
Rather cute, everyone was out petting him and calling him our new K-9 and all that. It definately made for a very interesting day. LOL I am sure my car partner will be really pleased in the morning. It still stinks.
I AM NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN FOR ANYONE!!!!!
