I think people forget things like 9-11 all too quickly. Patriotism and flag waving was a fad for some people. These guys are telling president Bush not to politicize it, but Thats not what I consider it. Im tired of hearing the troops we have lost in Iraq being politicized by the John Kerry campaighn. Any law enforcement or military officer should be sickened by this. We are at war and every time we criticize the war or the troops on TV it makes it harder on the ones still there, just like Kerry did when he returned from vietnam. I know this is a law enforcement forum, but lets think about what we stand for. We dont make sacrifices to be forgotten and wiped from memory just so we can make everyone feel safe and warm inside. If anyone is politiczing 9-11 its the partizan 9-11 fingerpointing commission. That terrorist operation took years to plan, not months. It was underway when Clinton was in office, just like the first attack on the trade center, and the USS Cole, and the US embassies in Africa. Why was a Department of Homeland Security not formed then? There wasnt one until we got a president aho actually gave a care about something other than playing house with the interns there. I could care less about the mans personall life if he hadnt lied about it and everything else they asked him and came up with idiotic excuses that insulted all of our intelligence, "like I didnt inhale", or define the word "is". The guy has a credibility problem and so does this Richard Clark guy. They are taking his words and his little book and using it like its a bible and quoting it as such. Every police officer on this board , well most, know how to spot a liar. Watch this Richard Clark on TV. He looks down and to the left every time he tells a lie. Sorry folks but I get upset when I talk about 9-11. I knew two of the officers there. It could have been any of us here.
I believe the man that led us through it and attempted to unite both major political parties has a right to use that in his slogan on TV. Although the memory of that day saddens me, I dont think I ever want to forget it or the people who died there and at the pentegon, and on those planes.
John kerry politicized Vietnam when he came home so he could make his name known in order to run for a political office then. One one hand he was against the war in vietnam and on the other hand he is proud of his 4 month tour of Vietnam when it scores him political points.
Ask your self this question. Who has a record for politicizing the deaths of Americans. He did it in Vietnam, He id doing it on the Iraq war, He is doing it on the graves of those lost in the 9-11 attacks.
Those terrorist did not attack the Democrats, They did not attack the Republicans, They did not attack New York, They did not attack Washington DC. They attacked the United States of America, the greatest country in the world. For a few months all the political parties were united as they should be, but the Democratic party was willing to sacrifice that early on in the Primarys and before they even really begin. We had people come one the air on the main news channels right after the State of the Union addres, for nothing but to undermine the president no matter what he wolud have said. It was pre-planned. Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton Both disgraced their offices by their immature actions and unprofessionalism through rolling their eyes and shaking their heads at our commander in chief. Not only did they disrespect the president, but they disrespected his office and every American watching that state of the union. Its amazing to watch desperate people to stoop to new all time lows, even though they have people watching them on TV and looking to them for leadership. Kennedy criticized the war in Iraq calling it Bush's Vietnam. Why did he not vote aginst his Brother starting the real Vietnam war where we lost far more people.
Afer saying all that I will tell you that I am a registered Democrat, But I am sick and tired of what that stands for now days and i cant handle the hypocracy that comes along with it.
