Take Home Car Question...

I never actually mentioned anything to them about the take home, they asked me where I lived in relation to the county, I told them, they told me we'll have to see. That is the only conversation I had with the agency about the take home.

I accepted the job, thinking I was not going to get one, and was prepared for whatever was going to happen, except for rescinding the job offer.

Well, I never found out the reason but I did get another job offer from a different agency and was sworn in Wednesday and started true FTO on Friday. I am actually very thankful as this department is much better than the previous SO in this thread.

And before anyone tells him, he's already requested verification with me - marinepilot

Wow....so...this is a non-issue now. The agency called me today and said they have decided they are not going to hire me, no explanation. I know the SO and commissioners have been in a heated battle for a while now and I think this may be a result of it.

Wow man, that really sucks. Maybe they did you a huge favor!

Maybe they saw your post here, and got the impression your priorities were not in line with what they want out of potential employees....

Yes. My chances went out the window when I tested their "take home car" policy. Some departments have no sense of humor.

Hey Safety Steve, I saw that pursuit that made you miss lunch. I was driving south thankfully though! I saw the helo with spotlight and thought WTF then saw all the black and whites!
