I'm planning a vacation to Florida in September this year. I have visited Florida for about ten times and i've been to south and central Florida, (main tourist attractions). Now i am thinking about visiting the panhandle. What are the best places to stay in the panhandle?

Panama City is a great place to stay when not in spring break. When spring break is in, the city is spilling over with teenagers, idiots, and drunks. Has attractions in the area, good hotels, and local sights to see. Pensecola is pretty good as well. Not sure about Ft. Walton Beach. Only three areas that have anything going on really. Not a lot in the Panhandle to visit. Lots of Rural/wooded area.
