    Input wanted

I am in the market for a new personal weapon, back up gun, easy to stow, conceal etc.

I have recently looked at the Smith and Wesson "Bodyguard" .380. I have see the Ruger LCP and seems too small the Bodyguard feels better than the LCP.

The other gun I am considering is the LC9 by Ruger. Slightly bigger than the Bodyguard but then again its a 9mm. I have larger hands, not great big.

Anyone have either or both with some trigger time to give a solid review?

    Thanks

I've not shot one, but the S&W bodyguard is not earning the best reviews, and the LC9 is too new to have much by way of experience.

That being said, if I only had to choose between those two, I'd go with the Ruger. If I was going to go with a 9mm for off duty, I'd look at the Glock 26 or S&W M&P9c. I carry the M&P40c and it has never malfunctioned. Also maybe look at something a little older like the S&W 3913.

That's what I carry for back-up (with magazine extenders to increase the grip size) and love it!

I definitely respect Glock for making a quality gun that is very reliable. But I cannot stand the feel of holding one. It is not compatible with my hands at all. Which is why I sold it and bought a M&P witht he money I got. Just as reliable (at least mine is) and much more comfortable in my hand.

We carry the Glock model 22 issued by the dept. I have a Model 27 but its just a tad bit too big for my level of concealment. Where I live I am limited on finding quality guns to look at but will keep those guns mentioned in the back of my mind when I get to the point of final purchase.

    Glock

I think that the Glock Model 27 would be a good choice, since you already have a G22 and G27 already. Maybe you just need to re-think how you carry the Glock Model 27!

BIG just bought the H&K P2000sk for a backup. The mags from his H&K USP .40's mag also fit the P2000sk.
