Walther P 99 (police edition)

This week I had to give back my beloved SIG Sauer P 6 (P225 with police special edition) after 27 years. Now I have to carry a Walther P 99 with special police modification.

Here in Germany the state buy the weapons and all officer have to use what the state give them. Well, on wednesday I had my first training day with my new weapen and it isn't that bad. Only the handling is a bit different to the SIG. But - 30 years differents between the weapons will bring something new.

Has anyone of you (no, not you, Driet) have some experience with that weapon?

I've heard the triggerpull is a bit different on P99. But fear not, you're in good company as James Bond carries that gun. I hear you on the Sig though, I love my Sig P226.

Yeah, but he had the Walther PPK. We used that small something in the 70's to the very early 80's. Sometimes it was better to throw that "something" into the bad guys face than to pull the trigger.
