I'm supposed to go shooting tomorrow.

But I won't be shooting if I can't remember the combination to the trigger lock of my former duty firearm (S&W 5946 9mm) which I purchased when I resigned from the Cincinnati Police Department. It's been a while since I've had the trigger lock off...and I can't remember the combo (at the moment). Maybe it's a 'sign'...like maybe I'm not supposed to go shooting? I'm (supposed to be) going shooting with the pilot who I flew with last week...the Tom Selleck look-alike. Actually, it's probably a good thing I can't remember the combination to the trigger lock since it'll probably keep me from looking bad on the range...he's a former FBI 1811 as well as a former United States Marine (AV-8 Harrier pilot)...as well as a FFDO at our airline. I should just stay home. :(

Actually, it's good luck. You really don't want to go to the range with that double action only alloy framed boat anchor. What's the trigger pull on that bad boy? 12lbs? You'll have blisters 100 rnds in and need IV electrolytes to recover!

Now-accept that the hand of fortune has touched you upon the crown and go by a 1911. :D

mine's still available, hell you could fly to Atlanta, and I could meet you at a gun store to ship it back to a gun store in whichever state you live in. :D

Looks alot like my 4046 that I bought back. What a POS gun it is, heavy trigger pull, lots of malfunctions.

Just use his gun that way you don't have to clean yours!:D

You won't look bad, Cincy, I'm sure you can hold your own and then some.
You might even pick up some great pointers from the gentleman.

Have a beautiful day tomorrow with Tom Selleck. :D

    Try 000.

Better yet, sell it to the gun store and pick yourself up a nice Springer XDm-.40.

Let them cut the Brady banner off of it.

I had the chance to buy my old 4046 when we switched over to M23's and I refused to.

    I wasn't offered my M-23. :(

    Good times!

The wife unit 'reminded' me this morning that the trigger lock combination might be my birthday...which it is...DOH!

We ventured to the outdoor range where he's a member...and he brought his arsenal...left to right, top to bottom...

-H&K USP 40 (his FFDO firearm)
    -Glock 19
    -Beretta 92F
    -S&W 4006
    -Glock 26
    -Glock 17

He gave me some cool tips regarding shooting...he's an OPOTA firearms instructor.

    Oh, no doubt!

Unfortunately I shot [poorly] so I used the 'too much DD coffee' excuse.

Have you ever been done for DUI - DD???
