Yes, it's true. It seems that since April 2003, I've developed this addiction to firearms purchasing.

I've tried to cut back, with little success, and may eventually have to seek professional help!:eek:

I slipped last Saturday, while the wife was away at her mother's. (Good timing...:D)

It was just sitting there in the display case, all lonely being the only one of its caliber. It looked so sad, wanting for attention and a tender caress. So, after waiting there for 25 minutes, and grasping the last shred of my patience, I asked the guy behind the counter to let me see it. Love at first sight, since I had already been eyeing it.

The Taurus M44C is now resting peacefully in the safe with the rest of my firearm harem...;)

Here in the states we can fire them as often as we like. We put them in the safe to keep prying hands off them, like any other valuables. And as to what the use is, BECAUSE WE CAN. :D

Yes, they all get fired at some time. None of what I own is strictly a "safe queen".
I like having the option of different calibers, barrel length, etc.

For the record, you can really only (accurately) shoot one gun at a time (outside of the movies).

I use mine for people-hunting. :D

I suppose there are worse addictions to have. Unfortunately I don't have the money to support my habit or I would have more toys. Unfortunately I haven't been able to shoot my latest purchase as much as I want because I've been TDY. Can you say withdrawl?

We were doing scenario based training on an active shooter/armed hold up type scenario and each time we offered a resolution to the situation we got shot down in flames and the instructors offered more info that would make our last suggestion not work.

I then came up with taking my partners gun, running and jumping through a window, onto the large bar, sliding down the bar and with a gun in each hand shooting the suspects dead!!

I was sent to the corner for a bit of "time out". My idea was not considered viable. :rolleyes: :D

Some trainers had no sense of adventture and limit themselves by using those things called "laws" and "reasonable safe practices".

I, on the other hand, used Die Hard as a training film!! :D
