Any suggestions regarding the Sig P239 vs. the Sig P232 for off-duty carry/backup carry? How's the .380 round compare to a 9mm?

I've had two 9mm 239's since they came out in 1995. I still think it's the best gun SIG ever made.

Magazines aren't interchangeable between a 229 and a 239, are they?

No. Not interchangeable.
The only difference between the 9mm and 380 is 2 millimeters in length (9X19mm vs 9X17mm). The bullet is the same diameter. If you can get the same size gun, may as well get the 9mm as it's got more powder behind it than the 380Pittsburgh Pirates- 1st place NL Central 7/15/11

Hmm. Would have been nice if the mags were interchangeable. I suppose I'll at least stick with interchangeable ammo.
