    Glock 27

I am considering the purchase of a G27 as a weapon more easily concealable than my Sig 229. however, I am concerned about having my pinky hanging out there in the breeze when I grip it. Those of you who have a G26 or 27, how do you feel about shooting with it?

And for the record, my hands are about average for a male.

I have one. It shoots just fine. I did purchase the extended grip so I had a shelf for my pinkie, but Glock used to say you didn't need one. I don't know what their official stance is anymore.

I carry one for BUG and CCW off duty. I use a magazine without the grip extension when I BUG so that the G27 is more streamlined and compact. Off duty I use either the extended mag floor plate thingy, or I just use a Glock +1 capacity mag that has a pinky thingy too.

I had a G27. Hated it. Sold it. Now I have a S&W military & police compact. A LOT easier to shoot than my old G27 was. It's also ever so slightly larger which enables me to get enough pinkie on the frame. That's without the extended mag. With the extended mag it's no problem

I've shot the G26 without the extension. It was accurate, but uncomfortable to shoot as it seems to jump around. Many of my co-workers have the G26 with the extension and say it helps alot. Of course in a off-duty / BUG the important thing is accuracy and comfort is a distant second.

IMHO The Glock 27 with the mag. extension, either the +1 option or the simple extension are good.

I have a G33 (the .357sig equivalent of the G27). It was great. Myonly beef is that it is a little thick. It took a little concentration to shoot and a little getting used to (pretty snappy without the extension). I never carried it with an extension, so I never shot it that way. I would qual our full-duty course (out to 25 yards) and score a 290+/300 regularly. It's not bad at all, really.

I will say, when shooting the G31, I felt like I was shooting a toy in comparison (in terms of recoil management), though. :D

I shoot my G27 with three fingers. I qualified 2 points BETTER with that gun than the G22 fullsize. Weird I know.

If you go put the extra grip on it or whatever, you defeat the purpose of the gun. Might as well get the G23 instead.

Had a G27 with a Pearce grip. Didn't really care for it. Not really comfortable for me and I have average size hands as well.

    G27 here w/+1 option.

Additionally, I carry a G22 mag to reload with in the same fanny with a pair of handcuffs, can of pepperfoam (that's well past its expired date) and a pen.

Yeah, its a little bulky, but in 10+ years of carrying it off duty that way, I've been flagged aside only once when going thru a metal detector at a Concert when I was still sworn ... so all of those people who believe that people carrying guns illegally will always be caught can kiss my Swiss-Irish Kiester.

Soon I will be replacing it with a pocket pistol, since carrying the Pepperfoam can get me locked up in some places... :D
