I bought a Tippman K-400 airsoft pistol, which is modeled after the Glock .45 pistol, tonight at the store. It was a bit pricey ($50), but I took a chance.
I shot it at a partial case of Dr. Pepper. Oops! It destroyed the can and made a bit of a mess. It was still inside the box, so it was a somewhat easy clean-up. I just didn't realize that the pellets had THAT much power. People shoot each other with these????? I won't be shooting inside the house anymore.
I took it outside and set up a bit of a gallery in the garage.
The target is approximately 20 feet from the garage door, where I fired from. The pellets had enough power that they were bouncing back, and landing beside me.
I was having so much fun, I even let my big brother shoot.
It was really fun until it fell out of my pocket. :(
Thankfully, I found all the pieces and was able to re-assemble it. The slide is very thin cheap plastic, though.

a 'cheap' chrono often used by airsoft enthusiasts is the 'coke can' test. How much penetration/where on the can/etc, can be used to 'approximate' fps.

I'm assuming they don't do that with full cans.

Gas or pump?
I have an almost exact replica of a Glock 23, GBB operated... my roommate shot me in the *** with it, with a paint pellet, from 7 meters...
Through my jeans I had a nasty welt.
HE thought it was hilarious.
