    M-16/AK-47

Does anyone know the magazine capacity of a AK-47 or a M-16?

    magazines

Magazines for the M-16 / ArR-15 and AK-47 type rifles are detachable. The magaines for the M-16/AR-15 are most common in 20 round and 30 round capacity. Newer manufactured magazines are 10 round or less. The AK-47 magazines are most common in 30 round size, but you can get them in 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 rounds, and drums are available for 75 rounds.

Check your state laws, some states that are "enlightened" and consider guns as evil, have magazine capacity restrictions: some are NJ, HI, CA, MA.....

The NRA is a good source for info on state laws.

Thanks for the reply. The question was generated by a co-worker of mine. Apparently he had a neighbor of his firing off an automatic weapon in her back yard yesterday. He said he knows it was automatic because of the rapid fire. I don't know, I wasn't there, but anyway, he called the police, but they said they couldn't get a warrent for her house. Apparently they are coming back to talk to him tonight. Thanks again!

Maybe they have a class III licence? My friend has a Class III and ownes fully auto UZI, HK MP5 sub, Colt M-4 w/ telescoping stock and 14" barrell, old AK-47 fully auto, HK/Benelli Super 90 shotgun w/14" barrel, and an old WW II Thompson Sub. Plus a ton more - the guy is rich - corporate lawyer - he has tons of toys. I've been trying to get a Class III for 2 years - haven't heard anything...probably never will.

Now firing such toys in your own backyard with the risk of killing others ... i don't know - let us know what the outcome is!

It is possible on an AR-15 (Bushmaster - Colt) to pull that trig extreamly fast. I've tried it a few times with my Bushmaster shorty and a lot of people at the outdoor range thought it was automatic. I don't see any point in rapid fire than wasting ammo and making a lot of noise. But I did try it a few times to see how fast I could fire. And its pretty fast since the trigger is easy to press. I don't know, let us know!
