    Looking for a shotgun

I was considering picking up a semi-auto shotgun for patrol... However I can't find the one I was looking for. The only information I have is that it was manfactured in the mid 80's to early 90's. It looked like an oversized M-16. It was 12 gauage and clip fed. They used to be advertised in shotgun news a few years back. Any ideas?

Most likely one of the two. Neither of wich I'd use on duty personally... Cant beat an 870 or 590a .

The one he is referring to is the Daewoo USAS-12. They are no longer imported and are classified as Class III "destructive devices" as of the mid 90's. Too bulky to really be useful, you'd be better off with an M1 Tactical Benelli if you want a semi auto shotgun. But,my .02 on the matter is....you can't beat a tried and true Rem 870.

That is one sexy shot gun, wow.

-Capacity: 10 rounds box or 20 rounds drum detachable magazines
-the large mass greatly improves the recoil control, especially in full automatic (bursts) mode

Yeah no doubt; for durability, reliablity, and proven history, the 870 is the way to go. My dept. doesnt allow anything other than 870s and there is no way that a semiauto would be allowed.

Mossburg 590. Good enough for the Army and the Marines, good enough for you.
