I with DC on the 1911. I have a Springfield Loaded Champion for carry/home defense, I actually hunt with a M1 Garand or a Mauser 98 with sporter stock and 3x9. I also hunt with a Mossberg 835 UltraMag 3 1/2 (don't take it to the skeet range, it's murder on the shoulder). My wife keeps a Makarov 9x18 on her nightstand. For the money it's one of the best buys out there. I plink with a Walther P22. Fun pistol buts it's the most sensitive gun I've ever seen when it comes to limp wristing (please no gay jokes :D )
I'm also soon to add a .50 BMG to the lineup just in case any pesky U.N. convoys show up. :D

This may be a really stupid question but is there a considerable price difference in ammo costs between a 9mm a .38 and a .40?
Nope, not a stupid question. Basically, yes. My experience is that .38 and 9mm will be similar price, while .40 will generally be about $2 per 50 rounds more.
