OMG; what have I done? Brought home an Austrian girlfriend.

I always talk Sig, Sig, Sig, etc. and really dont bad mouth Glocks but I dont say anything good about them either. I havent had a Glock since the G21 I had in Alaska in 93. Well, it was about time I got a baby Glock to carry offduty and BUG. I'm getting real tired of trying to hide the P228 all the time. So here she is, my new Austrian girlfriend, a new G27 (.40 cal). The shop in Naples set me up real good, all the goodies out the door (Gun, leather, and extra full size mag). Going to the range in an hour; sit tight for a range report. I still cant believe theres a Glock in the family now.

I just got a G26, I went to the range today and was pretty happy with it. No problems hitting the kill zone at 40 feet or so. At my range, you have to keep the target at the backstop. At 21 feet or so, I probably would have put every round in the kill zone. Uh, not to be confused with the X ring. I'm not that good.

I do have the grip extensions for both mags, I think it would be a lot tougher without them.

I have the G26 and love it. I've shot it with the extensions and without. I had no problems either way. With the extensions it's more comfortable to shoot. But I got used to shooting with out and had no problems. Congrats!

I love my baby Glock 27 although with my meaty hand I need the mag extension. That little Glock hides real nice in an IWB holster, I carry mine in a High Noon tuckable you cant even tell it is there !!!! Best of luck with it !!!

I put about 175 rounds (winchester white box) through it without any problems. She's a keeper. It is no doubt easier to shoot with the 15 round mag in it which adds support. The key with this little thing is concealment so I may put a pinky extension on only one of the 9 round mags like Rad diver did. Thanks for the replys everyone.

Its good to see all the good reviews on the G27. Because I have been hearing a lot of the guys say that they like the G23 and then others like the G27. Still don't have any idea what weapon I am gonna get for off duty/back-up yet. But it helps to know its a relaiable weapon.

Strike up another vote for the baby Glock. I have had the G33 (exactly the same dimensions as the G27, chambered in .357sig) for about 8 years. It is an awesome gun. I like my S&W 36 (5 shot .38), but it is hard to justify carring it when I can have 10 shots of .357sig in a package that is only marginally larger than the revolver.

If you get the G27, you should really practice carrying shooting it with the flat mag plate (no extension). Your little finger will be blowing in the wind, I know. However, too many people shoot it with the extension and then carry it without. In my book, that is a big no-no, as the gun is a bitmore challenging to shoot well without any extension and it is not nearly as concealable with the larger grip print from having an extension.
