Yep.......We are issued the 870....I carry a Mossberg 590A1.
Never seen a Mossberg jam the way an 870 likes too. And the safety is in a terrible place on the 870.
we have 4 870s at work and 3 of them have jammed while on the range. i have a 500 that holds a tight pattern and has never jammed.
I went to FS Firearms and picked up the 26, the 21 and an AK type rifle. Great store, very helpful. And I've had problems getting back into the local gun club (they don't respond to inquiries), the store owner picked up the phone, called the club president, and voila!, I'm back in.

What generation are the glocks? And what type of AK, one of the WASR's?

I couldn't tell you what generation, obviously pre-98. Do they have distinctive marks?
Yeah, a WASR. It's not pretty, but an AK doesn't need to be.
I almost got a Sig or some 1911, but I figured my arsenal was increased enough for one day. :D

yes, third gen were introduced like right before the ban, making them very rare. Third gens had the finger grooves, while 1st/2nd did not. Heres a pic of a third gen G21 http://www.glockfaq.com/images/guide/g21.jpgOriginally Posted by massgrunt
I think the 1st gen only had checkering on the back, while the 2nd gen had checkering on both front and back.
How the WASR? I've heard about people having problems with mags fitting correctly.
*edit*
You should combine the best of both worlds and check out the Sig GSR 1911, but its probly not Mass compliant.

My 21 has checkering on the front and back, no finger grooves, and no rail attachment on the front.
Haven't shot the WASR yet, but just trying the mags out, it seems difficult and I think the release is different from an actual Ak-47. I think you have to move the release the opposite way.
