    Thanks.
In general points are just that. If you take the written test and get 90/100 and you have veterans preference they will add the 10 points and you would then have 100/100

I have also tested at one place where they don't add the points until the very end. Don't know if that is legal though lol.

P.S. These werent federal jobs, just realized this is the federal section

I thought that was usual practice. I wish I could have found out what my score was before I had them add the points, but you have to specify to use them before you take the test.. I could only use mine once so I used them on the initial test and ended up with a score of 103 out of 100. It would have been nice to have saved them for a promotional exam.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

    Wahls,
Got your PM, will soot you an email tonight.

    Kimble,
While I have read stories of decent amount of FLETC classes having college grad + minimal WE, the combo with relative work experience, as you said, has been far more expressed as the common. Of course I would love to hear "get a degree and you're a shoe in," but I also am beginning to realize more that, for the most part, isn't reality when going for an 1811 spot. I appreciate the info. and advice. Mind if I ask who you are with?

-Do what you wish but the wisest people are those who learn from others experience and adjust their plans instead of having to learn from going through the same thing themselves.-

Absolutely, I am here to attempt to do just that.

    FedLeo,

I am going to do some research, I was under the impression that ROTC requires full time (4 year) commitment after graduation? Aside from looking it up and shooting off a few emails, do you mind if I emailed you with a few questions?

    Switchback,
going back to what Kimble had to say. Great analogy, by the way, reminds me of my cinco de mayo. YIKES.

    Retdetsgt,

That, of course, is my Plan B.
