FBI Drug Use/Poly Hiring Policies Help

I've heard that the FBI goes back all the way to birth regarding drug use. Can anyone tell me what the drug use policy is for the FBI? If you've done marijuana 5 times, cocaine twice, nothing else, 30 yrs ago, can you still get hired? Also, if you fail the poly can you repeal, if so how? I'm just starting out the process but have heard all of the horror stories. I currently have a clearance with another agency and have no CI concerns. Thanks for the help.

I'm assuming you're asking about something other than the special agent position, as unless you did drugs when you were younger than 10 years old you've missed already missed the maximum age of eligibility (37 yoa).

FBI publishes their drug policy for the hiring process: Federal Bureau of Investigation. I've known a few people who failed their polygraph, none were given an appeal (not sure what a "repeal" of a polygraph is) or second chance. I have to ask, are you planning on trying to conceal or withhold information that you fear being uncovered during the polygraph?
