LOL! I second that. I actually love it here, (except for the taxes). Believe it or not, I was thrilled when I got my first Fed LEO gig and the HR lady told me I got NY (I was in FL at the time). I remember she was shocked I was so happy!

When I got my offer from ICE I got the impression from the HR lady that many many applicants had turned down the ICE position due to the duty station being Los Angles, CA.
I know it was the right decision, especially now that I got my 13 but the decision to turn down the 1811 position still haunts me.Wrong door, buddy

No matter where you are assigned, you are still in the US with the US customs, laws, and systems. It is far better than being in a foreign country and not knowing the ins and outs of their laws and system while attempting to learn a new job. Originally Posted by NightR0ver
