So you are 29 and want a 1811 job. Eight years is PLENTY of time to get hired. Get your masters degree (will put you at 32 if part time college) and apply away! You have 8 years to get hired. That is a HUGE amount of time. Don't give up so easily.

I appreciate the tip, and reality check I actually have a BS & MS (sciences) currently and working on second Masters in Accounting...and 4 years professional experience in technical field, doing intel analytical work and as we all love "other duties as assigned.' only recently got into the admin investigative work I am doing now. I went from a GS-12 to a GS-5-1810 which when it wasnt what I expected...freaked me out a bit. I'll get cracking on applying..whenever I talk to LEO's at career fairs and such they say I am a perfect cannidate but then are unable to tell me when the next time I can apply is, been so busy I am sure I have missed a few opportunities. Ill keep a better eye on things..some come and go rather fast. In fact Ill do a quick check now..see whats out there.

LOL. I'm impressed with men who can cook. I actually think you martians are better at it for some reason. I keep trying to encourage my 9 and 11 year old nephews to add cooking to their sports interests So you and Countryboy are the chefs on here. In fact, Ithink he may have been a real one. I'm betting BP too...he and I both like the Foodnetwork, LOL.
