Does anyone have any info about the pentagon police. Like work work environment, reputation, things of that nature. Is it mostly security work or is there really police work done.

I hate to say it, but most federal police jobs are more security-oriented.

When the wolf attacks, he will find not all who run with the flock are sheep!
Only exceptions I'm aware of are US Park Police and Border Patrol. All other federal uniformed LE jobs tend to be very well trained security guards with police powers (that's not at all a knock against federal LE officers, but just the reality of force protection work, which is the bread and butter of federal uniformed enforcement).

My new hero!
The agency is huge, I believe the number is in the thousands of Officers. They do have specialized units of all sorts but it is mostly security. They have Officers mostly at the Pentagon but there is some other location out in Pennsylvania where they patrol also. Most of their duties are screening visitors and making sure id tags are visible. If I remember right, they are not on the GS pay scale. I may be wrong, but I'm too lazy to google it.
