Call Jill Crissman at 202-225-5147. She is the assistant to Stephen Lynch, chairman federal workforce, dc, postal service subcommittee where the retirement is at. She told us they have not gotten any phone calls or any letter on this issue. She said if she gets flooded with phone calls she can put it on the committee's schedule for a hearing!!!!!!!

I can only do so much. I believe the 30,000 federal 0083 that don't have retirement that want it think they don't have to do anything and someone else is doing it for them. That is a fallacy.

I am doing my best but you need to call. Tell your co-workers to call (especially those at DOD and VA). If we don't get this on the schedule the only person to blame is yourselves. Let's get his done!!!!

To be clear one thing that might slow this down is OPM is currently working on putting ALL 0083's under the same pay band which they have been working on for over a year. Hopefully that maybe coming out soon. That is part of the reason H.R. 673 has been sitting in subcommittee for awhile. They are probably waiting on OPM's research to be completed. But it still doesn't hurt to contact your congressman or that number to inquire about H.R. 673.
