Hello All!
I recently submitted a resume through CPOL for an announcement for a DACP opening at Fort Knox. But the announcement says that I "MUST PASS THE FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER MIXED BASIC POLICE TRAINING." Later saying that applicant must be able to pass USAMPS Accredited course. Is the FLETC Mixed Basic course considered the inevitable 2-3 week locally structured course that must be taken by new DACPs or MPs when working at a new post? Or is that something I have to attend at Glynco or another branch of FLETC? And as a former MP who worked side by side with DA, Im sure my time qualifies for general or specialized experiance for 0083 by OPM, but does my USAMPS graduation certificate allow me to "walk on" to a DA Civilian Police position? I am a reservist and maintain a drivers license for the post and necessary security clearance for the position. Any general advice would be great.
Also, as available I will be seeking other 0083 or 0025 (if I qualify, as I only have law enforcement experiance), does anything I have from the army matter with any other agency? Im willing to participate in new training, but jobs are competitive and this is my only leg up.
Thanks everyone!
Oh also, is that an FCIP position?
