ATF Career Path

Thanks Jitsu. I have been thinking about starting out in another agency to get my foot in the door. I suppose right now, I will be taking one step at a time and get my degree and test for the local PD. I myself will be taking a pay cut by becoming a LEO, but I am not necessarily doing this for money, but rather to accomplish a life goal. I am prepared to not make it into the ATF, but you can bet I will try my hardest. Thanks again for your advice!

Yea man, i hear what your saying. I wasnt assuming at all your motives were based on money. i just gave a little background on myself and the finacial side of it to express how competitive it is or seems to be. I BELIEVE (dont know because i am not currently an 1811) that a lot of these people take on the federal path as a Second Career and A Lot of them are leaving a lot behind, just as you or I would. Best of luck to you, who knows you may get in with the Local LE go through that Academy and be content with that accomplishment, since that in itself may not be an easy task with going through all the red tape and getting hired.
