Has anyone ever heard of the position of Federal Reserve Bank Police Officer? Is this an actual law enforcement position? If so, does anyone know if there is an age restriction and what the job entails. Also, what is the starting salary. I saw a job opening for the Fed in St. Louis and sent my resume in to them online. Any response would be appreciated.

I deal with them 5 days a week. They are real cops. The job is pretty much security gig.

I hate to rehash up and old thread but...
The Seattle Branch is hiring for FRB Police and Im considering applying for it. Does anyone know their current hiring requirements/ what kind of Academy they're doing?
Ive heard so many different things from a short academy in California to full on FLETC, to a mix, I dont know whats real and what's bogus.

What Norm said is correct. They are quasi GOV, like AMTRAK,as they work for the FRB, a non LE entity so there are hiccups for them at times.
