    I talked with a neighbor who is a city cop, he just received word that he is not getting a pay raise for the year, not even COLA.

    He is also planning on reducing our locality pays so in fact we may get zero percent or even a pay cut.

    Well, ain't that something. Got my 10 years in and paid off my student loans about 8 years ahead of schedule. That's fine though. I borrowed money, I paid it back! That's how it should be!

    And at this point, I too am just glad to have a job.

    Leaving it the same for awhile I could understand, but I sure hope it would be difficult to lower what is already there because most areas aren't exactly making par as it is.
