USCG - 1811 Special Operations Group

I know there are a few USCG members hanging around RP and am interested if there are any familiar with the SOG based out of S. Florida. I applied for the announcement, read, and understood to posting. I am curious if there are any members with experience with this unit. I have been referred (haha - who hasn't) so it is back on my radar of curiosity.

    Cheers

Gonna need a bit more information.

As I am sure you are aware, we have many units out of south FL. The USCG does not necessairly have an SOG. We have MSSTs, MSRTs and PSUs which all fall under the "DOG" (Deployment Orientated Group).

What group are you talking about?

Are you already in the CG?

You said 1811, so you might be talking about an opening in CGIS.

Ill help you if I can.

The only 1811 series the CG has is CGIS... there is the IMLET, MMST, etc that 585 mentioned but to my knowledge the only CG 1811's are the Investigators.

Here is an excerpt from the announcement: "These positions are located within the Assistant Commandant for
Intelligence and Criminal Investigations, Coast Guard Investigative
Service (CGIS), Detached Duty - Special Operations Group (SOG),
    Miami, FL.

The incumbents of these positions will function as a Special Agent
assigned to the CGIS Special Operations Group (SOG) field office
where they will participate in various investigative operations to
include when necessary, protective service operations, law
enforcement liaison and partnering and Human Intelligence Collection
    (HUMINT) activities."

As I wrote, this is in the guise of curiousity right now...I have yet to be called for an interview! I appreciate the help.

    Cheers.
