    FLETC-ICE Spanish Training

Can anyone provide me with information about the 5-week Spanish training class at FLETC? Is it a hard course?

Spanish is a seperate course from ICE_D. During Spanish there is no PT. During ICE_D, you will be PT'd; Its a GREAT idea to show up in shape, not try to get in shape during training...The PT is intense.

It has gone both ways. Diggy and I had Spanish first. As I was getting ready to graduate they switched to Spanish after the academy.

The first three weeks they hammer you with the stuff, then back down the last two. We had only one person who was still trying to make 700 points out of 1000 on the final exam. He made it, though.

Buddy up with a 'native speaker' (people who already speak Spanish) for extra help or lessons. There were three native speakers in my class: a guy from San Ysidro, a girl who taught English in Mexico, and me. The San Ysidro guy was not a good tutor, the gal and I had tutoring 5-6 days a week for people.

As of right now Spanish is always at the end.

There is no PT or DT during Spanish.

It is a mxture of practical, oral and written exams.

It isn't very hard as long as you work on your vocabulary.
