I just got my supervisor test results... I scored an 82 which put me higher than 66% of the officers that took it. Not great but better than most locally didI actually scored higher on the chief and PD part of the test than I did the first line supervisor part. Kind of wierd.

Congrats Chewy! You work for CBP right? Which city are you stationed at?

I'm in the worst place you never want to work... DETROIT!

haha.. you should transfer to the east coast. Theres always new guys in philadelphia. A lot of OT too.
That's exactly what I want to get away from!!! We've got like 600 officers at the border now and half of them have less than 2 years on. I don't want the OT and fortunatly with all the new guys our OT has dropped quite a bit. I'd like to get to a very small port with very little happening!

Does anyone know a general time table for CBPO's application process start to finish? Is it pretty much in line with the rest of the FEDs or generally faster?
Ya, the mandatory OT sucks. But, honestly we don't have too much of that anymore here. 6 years ago you'd get like $15,000 OT whether you wanted to work or not, now not anywhere NEAR as much but still enough that if you want to work you can. When I started in 98 we had like 130 legacy C and about 100 legacy I between three land border ports and the airports. Now the airports are a seperate "port" and they have about 225 officers and the land border with it's 2 POV crossings and 1 commercial truck dock has like 600+ officers!!! All that and we are STILL begging local PD's with 50 officers to let us use their ranges. Unreal!
