    CBPO Test (dress code)

    Hello,
Does anyone know what the "dress code" for the CBPO test is (then ones they hold in a hotel conference room)? Normally I'd show up in a suit and tie to put my best foot forward; however last time I tested at a dept almost everyone else was dressed in a t-shirt in and pants (not jeans). Maybe 5 other people came dressed nice like me, and another 3-5 people in a shirt and tie (no coat).

So I asked one of the officers when I left, if I and the few others were over dressed, or the others under dressed. They reply, its just the entrance, nice that you came well dressed but we don't expect it unless your interviewing.

I took the test, myself, just last week. I was dressed in a shirt and tie and I would say a good 40%-50%, out of a couple hundred, were similarily dressed. I was surprised at the number of jeans, t-shirts, and jerseys I saw. When in doubt, especially when applying for LEO jobs, it's always better to dress up than dress down.

That's how I was planning on going (shirt and tie) somewhat middle of the road between suit and a polo shirt. You're right about supprised, I wasn't sure what to think when I saw so many people dressed down at the last test I took. It was just an HR person collecting the tests other wise I was sure I'd have gotton "points" had an officer put my face to test I turned in for dressing nice.

Off my topic, but were you only able to apply to one location? I'd be more then fine with just about anywhere, but USAJobs would only let me pick one.
