Don't bother holding your breath though. I will do my utmost on my tests, but doubt they'd want me. Exactly how hard do they look at 'credit scores'? Considering my financial situation for this past year due to a failed business and faltering economy; couple that with what I'm about to go through; do I even have a fair shot?

Well I went and dun it. Signed on for the CBPO testing in ATL next month.

Nope, not since March. Came home to get out of that lease costing me more to work than if I didn't have one. Also wanted to be in town for all the court stuff. If I went back on the road as a company driver 'right now', it'd be really hard to get home for any court dates regularly. Currently I'm a temp in one of Wallyworld's warehouses. Only fracking locals hiring right now.

Sounds like a tough situation to be going through, sorry to hear that. I threw my hat in the ring for CBPO too, testing out of NY. I hope it goes well for everyone else who's stepping up to the test.

I went to the U.S. Customs academy with a good friend who had recently filed chapter 11 and was hired. He didn't have a history of bad decision making in his life, so that was crucial in his being hired. A major event forced him into it, and he had no recourse. (Medical bills for his newborn)
