I submitted the app in January (end of jan) and got my conditional offer letter in May. Delay could vary by location. Might be worth a phone call to your recruiter before you resubmit. If it helps, I am 2 years into the application process with another agency. These things seem to take some time. Hang in there.

i submitted mine early to mid april and got my letter about a week ago. It took me just at 2 months from the time I applied. I also have my written scheduled for thursday. Your recruiter has a lot to do with how fast things move too. The recruiter here in El Paso is very high speed and gets things moving fast!

You guys are probably right.

I try to call the "status" check hotline for the DC office at least twice a week, but their mailbox is constantly full. I've also called around the office, and gotten no help through that avenue.

I think that the DC office is simply inundated.

Well I took my written on Thursday and found out Monday that I passed that. I have my oral board tomorrow. The process is moving right along for me. Hopefully my background check won't take that long since I already have a current TSC. We will see!

Interview passed. Now on to the medical.

Hey folks, I'm looking to get some information on upcoming classes for the DEA Academy.

I applied in August 08, and since have passed the interview, written test, psychological, medical exam, drug test, PTT, Polygraph, and Background Clearance (already had a top sceret clearance from an FBI Task Force Position but OPM did a whole new clearance so that apparently saves no time, to answer someone's question from earlier). I have three and a half years of law enforcement experience, two and a half working narcotics as a Special Agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Also have a master's degree in Criminal Justice from Ga State University.

As far as I know I am just waiting for the final hiring decision, but I haven't heard anything in almost three months after the background clearance was supposedly completed. Any information from someone in the know, like GROUP9, would be much appreciated.

Anything new with current applicants? I completed the second part of my medical today, and am now awaiting the PT test. Hows everyone else looking?

Found out Friday that I passed the written section of the panel. Going in for the interview section tomorrow. After that, it's on to medical, background and PTT. Just training like hell until then.
