    Question about TEA exam

I applied for the ATF opening back in,I believe it was, October. I turned in all my paperwork and I have already passed the TEA exam. I thought I would be ready once they called me for my panel interview. I have yet to hear a thing back from them and now my TEA exam results are going to expire in about July.

My question is am I covered with those exam results from the time I applied for the position or will I have to take the exam again? If I have to take the exam again will they send me information on where they are being held? Because I have not received anything. Thanks in advance for your time.

If your NOR was valid at the closing of the announcement then you are still good.

Awesome! Thank you for the great news. Now, I guess I just sit back and wait. I think they are in the middle of yet another hiring freeze.

I too applied in October, have not taken TEA. My question is did you just went ahead and scheduled to take the exam or was this from previous? I have not heard anything from this announcement. Should I just go onto some website and schedule this exam. Thanks

No, I took the test a long time ago, in the summer of 2006. That's why I was concerned because the results last for 3 years and they are to expire in a couple of months.

In regards to scheduling the test on your own, I'm not sure if you can do that but, by all means, try to. I remember that after the last announcement that I applied to, they sent me a location and a date to be there. I haven't received anything yet but I, also, put in the application that I have already passed the test.

They probably haven't sent anything out because of the hiring freeze.

You cannot just sign up to take it. If you meet the requirements based on your application then they will schedule you when they set the test date. Sit back, relax and get ready for a long ride. I tested Jan 18 2006 in Philly. I have had two interviews (most recently last fall.) No skinny letter yet. The beat goes on, and on, and on, and on...

    Good luck
