That was for Region 2.
I'm dying to hear how it went for the Moday a.m. people. Any updates?
Gotcha. I got the same info from a recruiter in GA, but he wasnt 100% sure on the numbers. Sounds like they are confirmed.
From what I have read in the 2009 Marshal's budget, they are looking to hire around 70 for the SW border. But again, that couldve changed.
I see there is no news from anyone yet. My session is tomorrow and I am starting to get a little nervous about it.
Give them a second I'm waiting to. Some might don't won't to tell if they dont make it, or if they do they dont want to tell any secrets.
I'm not after any secret info or info that would give me a head start, but I'd like to know the following things for planning purposes:
- How many people showed up?
- Did start on time?
- How long did it last?
- What was the process? Just sitting and listening? Lots of waiting around? Filling in forms?
- What did the Marshals say about the number of positions open and the locations in which the positions were open?
Thanks, and I'm looking forward to hearing some descriptions of how the day went!
Now Mac I like those questions I just didn't want the people who went pressured in telling us asap. I know they had a hard stressful time so when you guys who went to the session please read Mac question or if any other info to help us.
I'm sitting in the airport waiting for my 9pm flight to London on an iPod
touch so excuse any typos.
1) about 30 people in NC am session; 4 hopefuls didn't show up
2) started bang on time. I showed up 30 mins early and half the people where already there.
3) lasted about 3hours, presentations with some videos about academy. Q&A session at end. Then fill in paperwork. Then done for the day.
Only define #'s were 20 vacancies for DC superior court. Wasn't sure about total #'s for region 2.
If selected for an interview you will either go to DC during week of 11 May or NC week of 18 May.
Hoping first group of 48 canidates can start academy 6 months from today. But I would take that with a grain of salt. Remember those 48 won't come from FCIP only but from co-op and other hiringinitiatives as well.
No secrets were given away. RO was great and very candid.
go enjoy the experience and prepare for the ride of a lifetime.

Thanks Chemo. That's very useful info, and exactly what I think we're all looking for.
Have a safe flight to London, and hopefully you'll be booking a return flight to DC in a few weeks for some hardcore Marshal interview action.
Hi Guys! Well I had my session this morning as well and Chemo described to the " T "... so right now is all up to HQ if we are selected for an interview.
Don't stress about the session, just go prepared with paperwork and info needed. By the way Chemo I didn't get to meet you, there were so many males and just 2 females :p. Good luck everyone and take it easy!
Thanks Chemo and Lexis good luck mac
As far as paperwork Chemo and lexis what was the best thing they wanted and who turn in a resume or and OF612 did everyone come dressing up
Sorry - one more question to add to everyone's questions above: what forms of ID were they looking for? I have a driver's license with my photo on, but that's the only photo ID I have. What should I bring for a second form of ID?
What's up guys!
Well I saw people turning in the OF612 and others their resume, the recruiter said as long as your resume had the information required in the OF612 it should be fine. Remember your driving record.
As far as photo ID, I took my DL and my US Passport, I did see people showing their DL and work ID with pic etc. Everyone on our session was dressed in suits except for one.
