    Hello everyone,
    First time poster, Just wanted to say I have read the whole thread and found it to be very interesting. I am also an FCIP applicant going through the process. I have completed ALL but the BI and fit test portion of the process.

    Don't know where you all are in the process, but, I have just gotten word my medical is clear and I spoke with my BI beginning of last week, hes already spoken to my family members and some of my close friends. Things seem to be moving right along...fingers crossed, it won't be to long before I get my itenerary in the mail for FLETC.

    Congrats on getting this far, but don't get too excited or anticipate getting an academy date very soon. Between the time that my background was finalized until i received my final offer with an academy date was 7 months. I hope you dont have to wait that long but just want you to be prepared. Good luck and keep us posted. I will be at the academy in april.

    From my understanding and what I have heard, the people with veterans preferences (past military experience) have been the first ones called up for these classes. Once all of them have been called it'll be more non-military people in them. I heard the first couple classes are entirely filled of them. Just my thought.

    Agreed, the classes have been a rough makeup of just about 1/3 military, 1/3 prior LE and 1/3 College/Co-op. There has been no overwhelming majority of one over another.

    Once all the processes are completed and you are awaiting an academy date how are you ranked? I thought it was done by points or does everyone have the same ranking? Anyone know? Can any field office take you if they have a spot?
